Tammy's Notes

A homemade replacement for the packet of taco seasoning from my memory.

Ingredients

  • 1 tb chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne
  • 1/4 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1-1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp kosher or sea salt
  • 1-1/2 tsp black pepper

Directions

  1. Use with 1 pound ground beef or chicken and 1 cup water.
  • If you want a thicker sauce, add 1 slightly heaping tsp cornstarch to the water, whisk well, add to the seasoned ground meat.
  • Or add 1 small can of salsa to seasoned beef instead of water.
