Stephanie's Tamale Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 small diced onion
  • 1-1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 3/4 tsp cumin
  • 3/4 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 can stewed or fire roasted/diced tomatoes
  • 1 small can sliced olives, drained
  • 1 small can green chilies
  • 1 can corn, drained
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1-1/2 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup cornmeal
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded

Directions

  1. Brown ground beef and onions. Drain any grease.
